Charles Fazzino, creating another pop-art masterpiece in his studio

WHO IS THIS COOL PEEP?: Charles Fazzino

WHAT ARE A FEW OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS?:
Exercise, red wine, TRAVELING…what makes me happy? My family and my art. I love to work!

WHEN YOU ARE ALONE AND YOU THINK NO ONE IS WATCHING YOU…WHAT QUIRKY THINGS ARE YOU DOING?:
Oh probably singing to my favorite Madonna song.

(Note from CC: I, myself, do a wicked rendition of the “Material Girl” video from 1985 – I smell a collaboration, Charles, LOL.)

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE HAUNTS?:
My favorite haunts are definitely restaurants…..most are in New York City……Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse…the Four Seasons….love Harvest on the Hudson in Hastings…and of course, KATZ Deli on the lower east side.

(Note from CC: LOVE the Harvest on Fort Pond in Montauk – that is some seriously, spectacular dining! I can smell the Calamari Salad as we speak..eeerrr….type)

A toothpick!

WHAT IS ONE THING NO ONE WOULD EVER GUESS ABOUT YOU?:
I love the color black…nobody would guess that from looking at my artwork.

WHAT IS ON YOUR IPOD, RIGHT NOW?
Madonna, Fun….all the new stuff.

WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU NEXT?
I’m always traveling and doing shows all over the world. In March, I’ll be in France doing shows in Lyon and Paris. I’m the official artist for a festival in Lyon called Fois de Lyon and I’m excited about that. In April, I’ll have my first show in Vienna and then I’m on tour in Germany. I’m also looking forward to doing the artwork for my ninth Major League Baseball All-Star Game this summer at Citi Field in New York.

Fazzino’s collaboration with Heys Luggage

Note from CC:  If you travel a lot (like the man, himself), you might have had the honor of seeing Charles Fazzino’s newest sculpture in Terminal 8 at JFK International Airport (American Airlines)…as you pulled your Heys “World” Luggage behind you (Glossy polycarbonate composite luggage boasts pop-art renditions of the continents by renowned artist Charles Fazzino – sold at Neiman Marcus and other fine retailers).

My Favorite Fazzino – for the Batman in all of us
…The Dark Knight

Having personally just wrapped first run on the production of the hilariously BRILLIANT comedy show, The Dork Knight (and living the last month of my life in the world of Batman), my vote for favorite Fazzino, is his Pop-Art version of The Dark Knight…truly magnificent!

Cool Peep of the Week: Eleanor Handley…handling it all!

13 Mar Cool Peep of the Week Header 400x100

By Christabelle…@CBellesCloset

christina carathanassis, christabelle carathanassis, christabelletheblog.com

Actress, Eleanor Handley
burns up the stage as Maggie
in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

WHO IS THIS COOL PEEP: ELEANOR HANDLEY
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, I moved to NYC in 2005 after receiving a scholarship for the MFA program at the New School for Drama in the West Village. Since graduating I’ve had the chance to perform all over the east coast, including premiering a Chuck Mee play off-Broadway  opposite Austin Pendleton and appearing in ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the Morgan Library with Dominic Chianese (AKA Uncle Jnr from the Sopranos)Other favorite stage performances include Cressida in the New York Times acclaimed production of Troilus and Cressida for the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and most recently ‘Maggie’ in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival…(where I had the pleasure of meeting the illustrious CC).  On TV you may have seen me in Royal Pains and As the World Turns.

WHAT ARE A FEW OF HER FAVOURITE THINGS (spelled the Aussie way):
1. The sound of the first pour from a great bottle of wine…and then drinking it with wonderful friends.

2. TRAVEL!!!! To relax…. Tulum, Mexico. The magic of the Mayans can still be felt.  Specifically check out Cabanas La Luna. Best spot on the beach. And next, I’m dying to check out Hacienda Petac, not far out of Merida.

To feel glam and close-ish to Australia, without crossing the planet,  I jump the pond and visit my brother in Notting Hill.

When home in Australia, my #1 relaxation spot is the new family adventure WhitesBeach in Torquay, Victoria - private, quiet, and stunningly breathtaking.

(Note: all of 2. usually involve 1.)

(Note from CC: can I come? Please? Like NOW?)

WHAT IS ON HER WISH LIST:
Years ago my wonderful friend Kate (a brilliant novelist), read in Vogue about a ‘Cabernet Sauvignon Scrub’ spa service somewhere in the swanky South of France. To this day that’s how we measure our success trajectory; we’ll know we’ve made it when we book  our ‘Cab Sav Scrub’. We are close… I can taste it.

WHAT IS ELEANOR’S FAVORITE HAUNT:
Cafe Reggio.  To this perennial tourist it is the quintessential Greenwich Village…It’s Bob Dylan’s NYC. The sort of place where people sit for hours by themselves, drinking cappuccino and writing poetry on napkins.

WHAT IS PLAYING ON HER iPOD, RIGHT NOW?
iPod is stuck on my recently purchased list, which means tons of Mumford and Sons and Adele…. And also means I’m overdue for a new purchase. Kindly forward me any musical selections you think I might like.

I also have Reserved for Rondee on loop – bass player, Tom Degnan played opposite me as ‘Brick’ in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof this past summer – huge fan of all his work – both musical and theatrical!

WHAT HANDBAG ARE YOU CARRYING AND WHAT IS IN IT – RIGHT NOW?
Cream Coach handbag… or at least mostly cream. NYC is rough on lighter shades. As for what’s in it -  what isn’t in it? I have officially become a bit like Mary Poppins and her magic carpet-bag. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lampshade and a coat rack spontaneously fell out of it.

WHAT SONG PLAYS WHEN YOU WALK INTO A ROOM?
At this time of year? Here Comes the Sun. Please!!!!!!

WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU NEXT?
In April, I start rehearsals for Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, where I can be seen Memorial Day through Labor Day as ‘Regan’ in King Lear and ‘Milady’ inThree Musketeers.

Next week, you can find me at Under St. Mark’s in the East Village, where I’ll be wearing my “Producer’s hat”  at the much-anticipated opening of The Dork Knight with Jason O’Connell - the incredibly hilarious and moving story of one man’s obsession with all things Batman. Get your ticket now, we are almost sold out (Show runs 3/19-23/2013).

Note from C: She truly does “handle” it all, be it on stage trumping all performances of ‘Maggie’ to-date (including the late Elizabeth Taylor and Scarlett Johansson), or producing one of the funniest shows I have ever seen in the East Village, Ms. Handley continues to keep me awestruck in all the work she lays her hands upon…in short, she has the Midas touch.

handley_eleanor4879RTPeople always talk about how ‘hard’ it is to work in the theater. All the uncertainty, the rejection, not knowing where your next paycheck is coming from…  And of course it’s all true. But it leaves out one part; it’s also the greatest job in the world. As an actor, you get to have many lives in one life…. and that… well that’s almost as intoxicating as that great glass of wineEleanor Handley

Target Announces Partnership with FEED…10 Million Meals to the USA

11 Mar christina carathanassis

By Christabelle… @CBellesCloset

I have been a big fan of Target for a long time, but this morning I found out one more reason to love and adore the bulls-eye!  Today, Target® Corp. (NYSE: TGT)  announced a partnership with FEED Projects, a social business founded by Lauren Bush Lauren, to create the FEED USA + Target collection. The limited-time-only collection will include more than 50 stylish products and benefit Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. The products will be available beginning June 30 at Target stores and on Target.com. Limited edition product will display number of meals donated from purchase (so you know just how your purchase has helped feed someone else!)

“As the founder of FEED, I am passionate about the fight against hunger and am thrilled to partner with Target to create our first ever co-branded lifestyle collection,” said Lauren Bush Lauren. “Through product sales, we hope to provide 10 million meals to Americans in need, which would make it the largest U.S. initiative in FEED’s history. I am proud that we will be able to empower guests to make a measurable impact through the purchase of the FEED USA + Target collection.”

Featuring an Americana aesthetic, the collection includes products spanning home, sporting goods, stationery, and apparel and accessories, with prices ranging from $3.00 to $400.00. Each product displays the number of meals that will be donated to children and families through Feeding America as a result of the purchase. The collection, with its modern, casual and hand-crafted feel, was co-designed by Lauren Bush Lauren.

“Establishing meaningful partnerships is part of Target’s brand legacy, from innovative design collaborations to long-term community programs,” said Stacia Andersen, senior vice president, merchandising, Target. “Through our partnership with FEED, we are offering our guests an exclusive, stylish collection that also supports an important cause.”

FEED began in 2006 when Lauren Bush Lauren designed a bag to benefit the United Nations World Food Programme’s School Feeding program. Followed by that success, Lauren founded FEED Projects LLC in 2007 with the mission to create good products that help feed the world. Best known for its iconic burlap bags, FEED’s projects to date have raised enough funds to provide nearly 60 million school meals to children around the world.

10 million meals.  That’s how much food Target is hoping to donate to hungry Americans with its latest designer partnership. This time around the retailer is forgoing a collaboration with a high-end fashion guru to work with FEED Projects, the company started by former model Lauren Bush Lauren that sells simplistic burlap bags. The proceeds help feed children through the United Nations World Food Program.

With FEED, Target is going the more minimalist, feel-good route with a collection launching June 30 that includes tote bags, kitchenware and blankets. Proceeds will benefit Feeding America, a non-profit with more than 200 food banks across the country.

“People are time starved and they’re looking for easy solutions and they certainly want to make a difference,” says Laysha Ward, Target’s president of community relations.

According to 2011 data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, more than 50 million Americans are considered food insecure, meaning they do not have enough money for sufficient food. – USA Today

About Target

Minneapolis-based Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) serves guests at 1,787 stores – 1,784 in the United States and three in Canada – and at Target.com. Since 1946, Target has given 5 percent of its profit through community grants and programs; today, that giving equals more than $4 million a week. For more information about Target’s commitment to corporate responsibility, visit Target.com/corporateresponsibility.

About FEED

After witnessing the effects of hunger firsthand when traveling as a WFP Honorary Spokesperson, Lauren Bush Lauren founded FEED Projects in 2007 with the mission of creating good products that help FEED the world. Every product sold has a measurable donation attached to it and, over the past six years, FEED has been able to donate over $6 million and provide nearly 60 million school meals globally. FEED has also supported nutrition programs around the world and in the US through organizations like UNICEF and DonorsChoose.org.  FEED products are available online and at retail locations around the world. For more information, please visit www.FEEDprojects.com.

About Feeding America

Feeding America provides low-income individuals and families with the fuel to survive and even thrive. As the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity, our nationwide network members supply food to more than 37 million Americans each year, including 14 million children and 3 million seniors. Serving the entire United States, more than 200 member food banks support 61,000 agencies that address hunger in all of its forms. For more information on how you can fight hunger in your community and across the country, visit http://www.feedingamerica.org.

Casa de Costa…Paul Solberg’s Military Time Machine

8 Mar Look What I Found Header 2

By Christabelle… @CBellesCloset

Paul Solberg’s Installation at
Casa de Costa in Lower Manhattan

When I think of attending art studio/gallery opening receptions, I tend to sometimes clench my jaw and start speaking like Thurston Howell, III from Gilligan’s Island (which you can imagine is not the finest look for me).  But when invited to the very exclusive reception for the work of Paul Solberg at Casa de Costa in Lower Manhattan a weeks ago, the only thing my jaw did was support the smile that came across my face. I have heard the rumbles about this trendy penthouse atelier and have been yearning to be one of the lucky few to be added to their prominent guest list.  Well, it finally happened. And what I saw, was nothing short of brilliance.

Paul Solberg Installation atCasa de Costa in Lower Manhattan

Paul Solberg’s Installation at
Casa de Costa in Lower Manhattan

As I stepped off the elevator, I felt as though I was walking through a time machine; staring at the solemn faces of soldiers from another era. Soldiers that, perhaps, are now long gone. Military men from generations gone by.  Or so I thought. In reality, what hung before me was the (solo) photography exhibition of artist Paul Solberg. A body of work, completed in 2010, consisting of 20 portraits of soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines – shot just a mere three years ago. Intrigued, engaged and thirsty for the truth behind the images, Casa de Costa‘s Jason Costa, Josh McNey and Matthew Degnan  generously shared the tale-behind-the-work…which  I now share with you below.

Paul Solberg's Installation atCasa de Costa in Lower Manhattan

Paul Solberg’s Installation at
Casa de Costa in Lower Manhattan

During the 2010 “Fleet Week” in New York City, Solberg captured a series of austere portraits on vintage Polaroid SX 70 film. In a flurry of activity, the artist met and photographed literally hundreds of young service members. Working tirelessly for days, Solberg bicycled in and around Times Square creating the portraits. What he didn’t know at the time was that something truly unexpected would happen: the unstable vintage film stock began to deteriorate within days. The images began a rapid degeneration and most were lost entirely. Of the hundreds of portraits, Solberg was able to scan and salvage this small selection.

The faces in Service look almost as if haunted by experience, by innocence lost too soon. In their world, courage and fear, invincibility and vulnerability are close companions. The fading, ephemeral quality of Solberg’s images speaks to the often-unseen trials, sacrifices made, and burdens borne in the name of service to country. “In this exhibition, Paul has created a series of portraits that evoke a sense of the fragility of life, and encourage us to reflect on the motivation to serve,” said Jason Costa, founder of Casa de Costa. “This body of work simultaneously honors our men and women in uniform, and also encourages us to reflect on the realities of sending our young people to war.”

Photographer,
Paul Solberg

“Photographing these young people was a moving experience, and I definitely gained a deeper understanding of their world, and respect for their dedication to service.”

This is truly one NOT to miss and lucky you, you have over a month to make the trip to Casa de Costa and peruse the live installation for yourself and purchase a Solberg for yourself
(or me – my favorite is the first image in this post).

Some of Solberg’s published books include Bloom (2005), Puppies Behind Bars (2006), Tyrants + Lederhosen (2010), and Tattoos, Hornets & Fire (2012), the last three publications in collaboration with Christopher Makos. Solberg’s photographs have been published in Publisher’s Weekly, Le Figaro, La Lettre, Ocean Drive, WSJ International Edition, Conde Nast Traveler, and other publications in the US and abroad. Solberg’s work has been shown at numerous exhibits in the US and internationally, including museum La Casa Encendida (Madrid), Galeria Moriarty (Madrid), Christopher Henry Gallery (New York), Karl Hutter Fine Art (LA), Galerie Catherine Houard (Paris), Galerie Sho Contemporary Art (Tokyo) and Hitawsky Gallery (Berlin), among others.

Oscar Hair: Boho Downstyle
by Pureology Artistic Ambassador Natasha Sunshine

Boho Downstyle: This undone style will turn heads and is quick and easy to achieve.

  1. Start with day old hair for a lived-in texture. Scrunch in Anti-Breakage Twist throughout.
  2. Using a 1 ½-2″ curling iron, wrap hair around the iron changing direction on each section until entire head is set.
  3. Once again, scrunch entire head to blend waves. Add additional Anti-Breakage Twist for silkier texture to give additional body and Cuticle Polisher for thicker hair textures to add shine.
  4. Braid the center braid down the back keeping the hair very loose at the roots. Add each side braid in to meet at the back-center of the head. Create a messy bun. Secure grips with an X shape under bun for added security and hold.
  5. Give a final spray with Strengthening Control hairspray.

Hot Tip: This style can skip the braid if need be. It looks fantastic both ways.

Undone Braided Chignon: Get that princess sophistication with a messy spin on the chignon.

  1. Starting with wet hair, apply a dollop-size of Nourishing Nectar throughout.
  2. Rough dry hair until 100% dry.
  3. Choose a side or middle part and French-braid front portion to the ear then continue a regular braid to tips.
  4. Lace or tease hair from the middle back to ends and spray with Strengthening Control hairspray.
  5. Scrunch the back hair into a messy bun and secure using your grips in an X fashion. Continue placing hair until all hair is secured up and feels like it will last the evening.
  6. Finish with a final dousing of Strengthening Control Hairspray.

Hot Tip: If hair is extra silky, you may set hair using steps 1-3 from the Boho Downstyle.

I’ve had a lifetime love affair with Essie nai l polish…when I think of the easiest way to make myself feel pretty, I put on my favorite gloss (Chanel Glossimer in #106  MYRIADE) and grab my Essie-du-jour and hop over to see Sam to get a pedicure.

In the summer, toe cleavage and show-stopping shades are on display 24/7. In the winter, however,  my toe polish acts as my covert, undercover sexy-weapon…just like my lingerie. Little secret nail-beds of sass…waiting to wow you.  What does she have on underneath?  When she slips off those Louboutins, will her toes match her soles? YES and I can assure you, it is Essie (and every shoe sales person in NY-Tri-state area can vouch for me).

In honor of tomorrow’s big celebration of love…let us all grab our favorite shade of crimson Essie polish, and paint the town red (or at least all of our digits).  With over two dozen scarlet hues to chose from, I have broken down a few of my faves…to help in all your phalange-finishing needs.

Cool Peep(s) of the Week: The Gentlemen of Reserved for Rondee

6 Feb Cool Peep of the Week Header 400x100

By Christabelle…@CBellesCloset

WHO IS ARE THESE “COOL PEEPS”: RESERVED FOR RONDEE: Billy Magnussen, Tom Degnan, Trevor Vaughn, Nick Fokas, & Warren Hemenway
What do you get when you mix 5 NYC men, a roomful of instruments, a distinctly unique sound, a passion for music and, oh, did I mention five very handsome men already? What you have is the Manhattan based indie band Reserved for Rondee…an exhilarating rock-melodic treat for your soul. If you are looking for the hottest addition to the NYC music scene – look no further. You have found it. I am officially the “un-official” President of their fan club…

Reserved for Rondee has earned the title of New York City’s most beloved emerging band…selling out at venues like the Lower East Side’s famed Arlene’s Grocery,  Mercury Lounge and The Saint (on the Jersey Shore). With inspiration that draws from “…classic artists like Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, U2 and contemporary artists like the White Stripes, the Black Keys and Arcade Fire, Reserved for Rondee blends imagination and style into a mystic rock journey”.  Aside from that – this is a group of genuinely cool, down-to-Earth,and multi-dimensional men…(who also happen to be ridiculously talented and witty – charmed ones for sure).  And as they hit the studio this month to begin recording their first full length album (“epic” is the word I kept hearing) – these five extroverted musicians kindly put aside a few hours to chat with me. Yes, I am a very lucky gal.

A  FEW OF YOUR FAVORITE THINGS?
BM: I love all of u. Traveling!! Jumping through fire. Q-tips. Little puppies.
TD: Hugs, CC, Chuck Norris, Christmas, the music of the Frank Sinatra, Legos, family, friends, and pork chop sandwiches. (Note from CC: Thanks Tom! Your my fave too…)
TV: Besides universal love, I’d say imagination rocks pretty hard. I’m ruled by Venus so beautiful women obviously (like Christabelle). Can’t leave out a great steak & wine!
WH: Twizzlers on the subway, coffee and a NY Post. Did anyone buy Hostess yet?? I’m dying for some freaking Ho-Hos!!!
NF: Well aside from my favorite blog, ChristabelleTheBlog.com, I’m addicted to Pawn Stars. I can sit and watch that show all day. And I have.

WHAT IS PLAYING ON YOUR IPOD RIGHT NOW?
BM: The Macabees
TD: The Lonely Island
TV: My Pandora is on Beirut currently
WH: The Kelly Bell Band (Homegrown)
NF: Live Led Zeppelin bootlegs or Motown

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HAUNT?
BM: The Gaf Bar, NYC
TD: Linebacker Pub, South Bend, Indiana
TV: Sunswick is a killer beer bar in Astoria, where I hang my hat. Chill atmosphere & artist’s galore.
WH: Claddagh Pub Baltimore (I’ve been thrown out 3 x and was brought back after a brief timeout each time. They know me there). Double Wide LES NYC (Home)
NF: The Druid’s Den in Rome, Italy. An Irish bar staffed by ex-pat Brits in the heart of Rome? Does it get any better than that? And I’m still a big fan of Epstein’s bar on the Lower East Side. Outdoor picnic tables and some of the best burgers in NYC? Can’t beat that on a nice day. Hope it doesn’t turn into a Chase branch or a cupcake shop any time soon.

Massimo Di Giovanna

WHEN YOU ARE ALONE AND YOU THINK NO ONE IS WATCHING YOU…?
BM: I love wearing a sarong around my house (ha-ha).  Trying to intercept people blowing kisses.
TD: I watch re-runs of “The Facts of Life”, I write poetry, I try and intercept Nick’s attempts to take over the world.
TV: Lord! What don’t I do..Yell at current events on my computer, nude improve dance, impersonations are always fair game, sing/muse upon the Great Spirit. (Note from CC: Trevor, we kind of ALL want your home address to watch nude improve dance through your window)
WH: I do the robot while singing I Want to Know What Love Is by Foreigner.
NF: Plotting various methods for world domination. So far none have been successful.

EMPTY YOUR POCKETS RIGHT NOW, RFR…WHATCHA GOT?
BM: Camera, train ticket to Chang Mai, 400 baht
TD: Guitar pick, keys, phone, hopes and dreams
TV: Gum wrappers, ticket stubs, contraband, & a special someones hand;)
WH: Receipts from the cigarette cartons I illegally imported for Nick, three crinkled dollar bills… nights are long in NYC
NF: Keys, Camel Lights, a Bic lighter and my precious – what else could I possibly need?

ONE THING WE WOULD NEVER GUESS BY JUST LOOKING AT YOU?
BM: Nick’s answer is a lie!! I love cooking.
TD: I was a jazz drummer in High School and also played drums in the pep band.
TV: I used to play Texas high school football, like “Friday Night Lights” ladies. My brother was way better than I.
WH: I was a preacher, owned a construction company, a night club and a pizza place. Try putting that shit together. I can’t . Call me if you understand because I have no idea and would love to hear if you do. (Note from CC: Not a clue, Warren, not a clue)
NF: I’m much more of a geek than you’d think. And most people already think I’m pretty geeky.

FUNNIEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOU ON STAGE/IN STUDIO/ON THE ROAD?
BM: Actually played a song correctly.
TD: Finishing a great set at Arlene’s Grocery, getting called to do an encore, then having the five of us stand there like idiots trying to think of another song to play. We didn’t play an encore, and immediately thought of four songs once we left the stage.
TV: Scaling walls & ceilings during shows is damn good fun & always funny to me at the time.
WH: Over a discussion of a song…the studio was almost burned down!!  (Names left out to protect the guilty).
NF: Busting my ass while doing a Pete Townshend style power-slide across the stage in Baltimore, collapsing in a heap & having Billy step on me.  I walked with a limp for days. My pride has yet to recover. (Note from CC: Please tell us there is a YouTube video to go along with that…)

WHAT ELSE DO YOU HAVE COMING DOWN THE PIPELINE?
BM: I have only the adventure of today. (Note from CC: He is being humble…Billy is BROADWAY BOUND – catch him in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike in NYC)
TD: Playing the game of Life (like the board game, I’m seriously going to play it) and hopefully a vacation to Cape Cod in the spring.
TV:I have a wicked cool family & stoked bout going on vacation to Florida & Portugal with them this Summer.
WH: Time to go to Brazil…it’s the new Vegas.
NF: I’m currently finishing up the script to a feature-length movie titled “Turning Two,” the real life story of legendary 1970′s Mets double play combo second baseman Felix Millan and shortstop Buddy Harrelson. It’s both a period piece set in the gritty NYC of the 70s and a buddy movie that chronicles the on and off the field relationship of these two beloved athletes whose backgrounds couldn’t have been more different and whose time together was cut short due to a tragic injury suffered in an on-field brawl. Grab your popcorn and a box of Kleenex… it’s gonna make Field of Dreams and A River Runs Through It look like cold, emotionless, run of the mill Hollywood fare.

February 9, 2013
Freddies Tavern, Bristol, PA

(Note from C:) I. LOVE. THEM. PERIOD.  I love that their music makes me come alive inside. I love that they are the most genuine people I have met in a very long time. I love that they all have an abyss of passion for the music and a deep-rooted respect for each other as musicians and as brothers. Most of all, I love that they agreed to let me interview them, so now ALL of you know how cool they are, too xo

The highway to becoming rock-golden-gods is large and vast…fortunately, RFR has the road-map to take them straight to the top. Keep playing, boys…keep playing (and if someone wants to surprise me with an impromptu serenade of Brooklyn, I am all ears and smiles.)

Oh we’re headed out to Brooklyn,
We got some friends in hand.
No worries for tonight,
Tomorrow’s its own fight,

Somewhere out there in Brooklyn,
Before the sun’s begun.
Yes it’s a big tale for Brooklyn,
Before the sun’s begun.

My Love This Week from Etsy: Aussie Designer Mien Moir

5 Feb Look What I Found Header 2

By Christabelle… @CBellesCloset

I like to call myself vertically challenged…instead of “short”. But lets face it, I could easily be cast kickin’ my curled-toe-booties (red-bottomed, of course) down the yellow brick road.  I dropped $500 at the tailor yesterday, getting all of my new finds SHORTENED.  That is halfway to a new pair of Lou-shoes…in northern hemlines (sigh). So for all you “Petite” gals out there, I have discovered an amazing new designer out of Australia – who tailors to all the good things that come in small packages.

My NEW love on Etsy this week – from down under : Mien Moir @etsy
