Kiehl’s Since 1851 hits the road on its trademark motorcycles this week, to raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS research.

Kiehl’s Desert Run for amfAR, a motorcycle ride led by Kiehl’s President Chris Salgardo, will travel from Las Vegas to Los Angeles March 29 through April 2, 2012, to raise funds and awareness for amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

This ride brings together Kiehl’s unique 161-year-old heritage with motorcycles, its spirit of adventure and exploration, and longtime commitment to giving back to its communities and the cause of HIV/AIDS awareness.

Kiehl’s Desert Run for amfAR is also the debut of the latest bike in Kiehl’s motorcycle collection:  a chopper designed and built by motorcycle designer Paul Cox.  Kiehl’s president Chris Salgardo will ride the chopper for the duration of the ride, and will be traveling with Paul Cox, photographer Timothy White, and actor Grant Reynolds.
